The Atlantic Contemplative Centre faculty are now facilitating Open Mindfulness Groups (OMGs) in the metropolitan Halifax region. They are open to all members of the Halifax community. The sessions include guided practice and discussion and provided for free. The locations include:
Dartmouth OMG, Every Thursday, 4-5pm at at the Community Health Team office, 58 Tacoma Drive
Spring Garden OMG, Every Wednesday, 12-1pm at 5670 Spring Garden Road, Suite 902
Bayers Road OMG, Every Thursday, 12:15-1:15pm at 7051 Bayers Road on the 5th floor, Suite 501 (the Teamworkbridge office, in the building marked “Blue Ocean” on the outside)
Open Mindfulness in the Bay, Monthly, 3rd Sunday of each month (Oct 22, 2017; Nov 19, 2017; Jan 28, 2018; Feb 25, 2018, Mar 25, 2018; Apr 22, 2018; and May 13, 2018) 2:30-4:30pm at the Tantallon Library

Nova Scotia Health Authority offers a variety of mindfulness practice groups that are free to the public (and patients), including 8-week programs in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Register through the Department of Mental Health: 454-1400 or 454-1440
Search the internet for others who may be offering these programs.
Dalhousie, Saint Mary’s, and Mount Saint Vincent Universities offer mindfulness groups— some for staff, students, and public. Contact their switchboards for information. Of note:
